Privacy Policy
Updated on March 22, 2023
1. INTRODUCTION
We are Techinline, Ltd (in each case, referred to in this Privacy Policy as "Techinline," "we" or similar pronouns). a Canadian corporation and proud developer of the SetMe Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product ("SetMe"or "Service" or "Software"). The main purpose of the SetMe software is to allow IT professionals and helpdesk technicians ("Experts") to establish remote desktop connections over the Internet for their business purposes, i.e. to provide on-demand technical support to their customers ("Clients") remotely.
The success of SetMe depends, to a large extent, on the fact that our customers can trust us with the security and protection of their data. In accordance with the statutory provisions, we take effective technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of protection in the processing of personal data. Furthermore, the protection of your personal data is taken into account through technical design and data protection-friendly standardized settings in the development or selection of hardware, software, and processes. Techinline takes protection of your personal data very seriously and strictly adheres to the rules laid out by global data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, which is a European regulation on data protection and privacy (GDPR).
The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to keep our activities related to the processing of your personal data as transparent as possible, and to give you control over your own personal information. We will always strive to collect and process your personal data in a fair way and to keep it secure and confidential.

The Processor of personal data may be:

3. DATA SECURITY AND STORAGE
We've implemented strict technical measures to ensure data security, primarily to protect your personal data from threats when transmitting data as well as from unauthorized third-party access. These measures are constantly monitored and adjusted according to the latest technologies.
SetMe's servers are hosted by professional, industry-proven data centers with modern facilities and equipment such as redundant or backup power supplies, redundant data communication connections, environmental controls (e.g. air conditioning, fire suppression) and security devices.
All remote desktop sessions are encrypted using symmetrical AES 256-bit keys. A secure SSL end-to-end tunnel is established between a local and a remote computer. This means that even the SetMe servers cannot decrypt the content of the sessions, but only transfer packets from one side to another. This means that we do not collect any personal data transmitted during remote desktop sessions.
We collect, store, and process metadata of the remote desktop connections. This is needed for the legitimate purpose of enabling access to the SetMe software and services explicitly requested by you. The list of metadata stored on SetMe's servers may include the following personal data collected from your device as well as the device to which you are connecting.
From your device / pertaining to you, we may collect the following:

Techinline processes the personal data of the people you are supporting upon your request and according to your instructions, thus Techinline assumes the role of data processor.
We do not store any content of the respective remote data connection (session data) beyond the required scope of data transfer. The customer can create a video recording, which is then only stored locally on the customer's computer. SetMe does not access such connection data.
4. DATA RETENTION

9. THE USE OF COOKIES
The SetMe website and software use cookies to improve user experience, such as to facilitate automatic logon into the SetMe service when this feature is enabled by the Expert. For more information about the use of cookies, see our Cookie Policy.
10. THE USE OF GOOGLE ANALYTICS
SetMe's website (setme.net) uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users interact with the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
You can stop the recording and processing of your data usage of this website by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
11. THE USE OF GOOGLE TAG MANAGER
Google Tag Manager is used by SetMe's website (setme.net) to support the usage of Google Analytics. The Google Tag Manager system itself does not collect any user information. More information can be found in Google's Privacy Policy.
12. THE USE OF GOOGLE ADWORDS
SetMe's website (setme.net) uses Google Conversion Tracking. The cookie for conversion tracking is placed when a user clicks on an ad delivered by Google. These cookies expire within 30 days. If the user visits certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google will be able to recognize that the user has clicked on the ad and proceeded to that page. Every Google AdWords customer gets a different cookie. Cookies cannot therefore be tracked across sites by AdWords customers. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted in for conversion tracking. Customers are given an overall number of users who have clicked on their ad and proceeded to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they will not receive any information that can personally identify users.
If you do not want to participate in the tracking, you can take the necessary steps to block a cookie – such as through a browser setting, which generally disables cookies from being stored, or adjust your browser settings in such a way that cookies from the domain "googleleadservices.com" are blocked.
13. THE USE OF GOOGLE REMARKETING
SetMe's website (setme.net) uses the remarketing feature from Google Inc. This feature is used to present website visitors interest-based advertising within the Google ad network. A "cookie" is stored in the browser of a visitor to the website that enables the visitor to be recognized again later when visiting these websites, which are a part of the advertising network from Google. On these pages, the visitor can be presented with advertisements that relate to content that the visitor has previously called up on websites that use the remarketing feature from Google.
According to its own policy, Google does not collect any personal data with this process. Nevertheless, if you do not want to see from Google, you can disable it by changing the appropriate settings at https://www.google.com/settings/ads.

16. THE USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA SITES
Our website may include social network sharing widgets that may provide information to their associated social networks or third-parties about your interactions with our web pages that you visit, even if you do not click on or otherwise interact with the plug-in or widget.
