To speed up performance, the latest copy of a transferred file is stored in the target computer's cache. Caching helps SetMe avoid repeatedly processing the same, unchanged files and allows you to resend them to the target machine as fast as possible.

SetMe ensures that the original "Read-only"/"Locked" and "Last write time" attributes are always preserved when exchanging files between Windows and macOS. Same goes for Windows-specific attributes, such as "Hidden" and "System", when transferring files between Windows computers.

SetMe allows you to easily copy-paste or drag-and-drop shortcuts and aliases to/from your local desktop or even between remote computers running different operating systems. Sending a shortcut means that the original file or folder it's associated with will also be transferred to the target location.

Certain characters (punctuation marks, colon and backslash) are valid in macOS filenames, but incompatible with Windows. SetMe ensures that files with special characters in their name are always successfully delivered from Mac to Windows so you can avoid renaming them and save time.
